Welcome to the portal of the Mobile Government Study Group (MGSG) that is an international scientific society incorporated in Budapest, Hungary in January 2005.

The establishment of the society dates back to 29th Ocober 2004 in Budapest, at the First International Conference On M-government (FITCOM), held at the Public Administration Faculty of the Corvinus University of Budapest, the former National School of Public Administration. The FITCOM participants decided to form this platform for the collection and dissimination of information regarding the widest technological and social cross-section of electronic government, i.e. mobile communication in government issues.

The founding participants are representatives of the academics, lecturers and practitioners of public administration, representatives of mobile service providers, mobilephone manufacturers and distributors from Hungary, Norway, Germany, Austria, Greece, Spain, South Korea, South Africa and the UK.

The MGSG membership is open to anyone showing interest in giving and receiving information in the forms of regular newsletters, publications, promotions of solutions on the application of wireless electronic tools in central and local government bodies anywhere in the world.

The MGSG portal is a network portal. Within this portal members can introduce themselves on their own pages, link their own websites, thus they can participate in the portfolio of the mobile government industry.
